Thank you to the parents and families who attended these fun events or donated sweet treats to make the gingerbread houses possible!
We learned that the Native Americans used to trade with one another and trade with settlers. Each class made an artifact for barter day. Students got to tour classrooms and check out the other artifacts that would be available- head dresses, jewelry, vests, rainsticks, corn husk dolls, or a Native American bean game. Second graders then have the chance to barter or trade with other students to get the item they like best! Afterwards, student wrote a reflection about how it felt to trade away something they worked hard on and reflect on whether this a a fair and effective process. On December 15th Shaquille O'Neal surprised Ison Springs with new winter coats, toys, books, and snacks for each child! It was an amazing and fun filled day! Take a look at these smiling faces. They cannot hide their excitement and gratitude for his generosity! Thank you #shaqaclaus for making this holiday season brighter for us all! |
