I am looking forward to another year of Second Grade! This is my 5th year at Ison Springs and my 10th year of teaching overall. I was born and raised in New York, where I went to college and started my teaching career. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. My dad was a teacher, so I grew up around teachers and was always visiting his classroom. My dad inspired me to be the kind of teacher who believes in the success of every student. I get to know each of my students well and find a way to personalize learning while making it fun for them! When I am not teaching, you can find me working out, doing yoga, or watching sports (especially my beloved New York Giants). I am a tomboy at heart! I also spend time playing with my American Bulldog, Kobie. Your children will see lots of pictures of him throughout the year! I look forward to another exciting year at Ison with the amazing children that make me love to do what I do every day!

Welcome to Second Grade! I am looking forward to this school year. This is my 8th year at Ison Springs Elementary, I got married last year so now I have a new name. My former Kindergarten students will remember me as Ms. L. Wilson. I have 20 years of experience teaching Pre-K – Second Grade. I teach all children that they are capable and valuable, which helps their self-esteem and encourages their love for learning. I have a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. My passion is a genuine interest and enthusiasm that invigorates my teaching style. I look forward to a great year teaching your child. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.

I recently graduated from Berry College where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages.) Hello everyone, my name is Katelyn Scholl. I am starting my first year teaching second-grade here at Ison Springs. I have previously spent the last year here in the fifth-grade student teaching. I am so delighted to have my own classroom this year in the wonderful world of second-grade. I have previously attended Georgia State University studying Early Childhood Education with a concentration in English as a Second Language. I am looking forward to getting to know all my amazing and hardworking students. We will be engaging in various educational activities to strive to build not only on students’ content knowledge, but also on their sense of the world, personality, and critical thinking skills. We are always looking for volunteers in the classroom to help engage students in their learning during our fun and exciting activities. When I am not planning for teaching and learning, I enjoy spending time outside hiking and kayaking. I also have two cats that I enjoy spending my free time lounging with. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any point during the school year.
